Job Purpose
We are seeking a driven, technically proficient, and results-oriented MEP Sales Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical engineering and commercial sales, identifying new business opportunities, securing MEP projects (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems), and managing client relationships. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise to understand client requirements and present competitive, high-quality MEP solutions in Riyadh’s rapidly growing construction market.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new project opportunities, upcoming tenders, and renovations within Riyadh. Build a robust pipeline of contractors, real estate developers, consultants, and commercial clients.
Technical Sales & Presentations: Conduct professional technical presentations and product demonstrations to consultants and clients to secure product approvals or contracting selections.
Estimation & Proposal Management: Collaborate with the estimation and engineering teams to review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), drawings, and specifications. Prepare competitive, accurate technical and commercial proposals.
Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while onboarding new ones (subcontractors, main contractors, and project owners).
Negotiation & Closing: Lead commercial negotiations, finalize contract terms, and secure signed agreements/purchase orders in line with company profit margins.
Market Intelligence: Monitor local market trends, competitor activities, and mega-projects in Riyadh to identify strategic growth areas.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate smoothly with project management and execution teams to ensure a seamless handoff from the sales phase to project mobilization.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 2–5 years of proven sales or business development experience within the MEP contracting or building materials industry, specifically within the Saudi Arabian market (Riyadh experience highly preferred).
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, chilled water, ducting, low voltage systems, plumbing, or fire protection). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, SLDs, and BOQs.
Local Network: An established network of local contractors, consultants, and developers in Riyadh is a major advantage.
Skills: * Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts simply.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with AutoCAD or CRM software is a plus.
Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken). Arabic language skills are highly advantageous for client relations.
Logistics: Valid Saudi Driving License and transferable Iqama (if applicable) are preferred.
